- Adelynne had her two month appointment on Wednesday and she now weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz.!! She had three shots and I'm not sure who it was harder on, Addy or mommy and daddy..geesh!
- She will be 10 weeks old on Thursday. This week especially her head and ears are looking bigger to me! I notice it most when she's in her carseat and in her bath tub (which by the way, she loves bath time!).
- Addy LOVES lights and mirrors...a true drama queen as well!
- She officially pee'd all over mommy in between stripping for her bath and going toward the bath tub!
- Friday morning was like a mini vacation for me. Josh was home and I got to take a longer shower than normal, I ate with BOTH of my hands and even got some good mommy/beagle snugs in with my Cocoa! Thanks Josh! It was refreshing! It's amazing how much you miss the little things being a new mama...
- Mommy snuck away for about 3 hours on Saturday with Auntie Stacie. I got to hear and meet my favorite author, Jonalyn Grace Fincher (http://soulation.org/jonalynblog/ ) . She and her husband, Dale, have a ministry called "Soulation." Jonalyn is the author of "Ruby Slippers" (of course it's one of my most favorite books ever written! What an honor. It was a day of "firsts" for me. It was the first time in almost 10 weeks traveling without my little one. I carried a normal purse, wore a necklace for the first time in many weeks as well. I even had caffinated coffee that morning! WOW! What a fun day!
- On a personal note, I'm getting more use to breast feeding. All of my friends said to give it about a month to get use to. I think it took at least a month for me. I still have my moments when it's just plain not convenient, but I'm getting better at pumping and she's getting better at taking bottles of pumped milk!
- Addy loves her fingers now and is sucking on those more than her pacifier these days!
- Just today I began taking her newborn clothes out of her dresser and closet. She's definitely in her 3 month clothes now and her sleepers (which have been the first things she's outgrown) are starting to feel tight in 3 month! WOW! She's still wearing her size one diapers, of which Mema keeps her well stocked on..thanks Mema!
- Josh has put in about an almost 14 hour work day today (for those who think pastors don't work many hours!) and I'm excited to have him home today. It's a good thing the past two days have been good family days! He's such a hard worker and I sure do love him! Thanks for all you do honey...in case I don't tell you enough these crazy days lately :-) We visited the retirement home today and the ladies were excited to see Adelynne. Last time we were there, I think I was 6 or 7 months pregnant.
Passed out from her shots as well as a big growth spurt that happened this week (aka not a lot of sleep and lots of cranky cra cra!).
