LifeWire Staff Christmas Party 2009

Sometimes I wonder what doing ministry would be like if we had to do it all by ourselves. I think that the success of a ministry wouldn't be complete if it were not for the fellowship we experience. Over the past few years staff members have come and gone within the junior high ministry we are in. And each staff person has brought a unique perspective as well as tailor made abilities and gifts. It is wonderful thing to be able to grow and learn and be humble enough to accept critique. But, it's not always an easy thing. I'm convinced that God gives us others to mold and shape as well as sharpen our own lives. And, just like any kind of job, ministry means you get to work with people who are just as misguided and completely human as you are...in short...you work with a bunch of people who are just as imperfect as you are. I'm learning to be workable and mold able and I'm also learning to defend the ministry entrusted to us.

These past few months we've gone through some staff changes. I know the Lord leads each of us on to other kinds of work, but sometimes the circumstances surrounding why someone leaves makes it difficult to move on. The blessing is we have gained some new staff and a new dynamic with our group, as we follow a new vision. And although the road getting here has been rough and full of mixed emotions, I'm happy to say the end result means many lessons have been learned and I'm praising God for the group we has blessed us with currently.

We're still unique and distinctly blessed with the gifts of our Maker but there is a rare beauty in this diversity we are experiencing...PRAISE GOD!

We recently had our 2009 Christmas Party with our staff...we decided on an ugly Christmas sweater party and a dinner at a fancy restaurant downtown. We ended the night with chocolate fondue at our friends and staffs home. I wanted to post pictures but my blog is being stubborn!
