Josh Turns 29 Years Old...

This month, Josh celebrated his 29th birthday!! And, should I think that he is getting old, I need only remind myself that I am shortly following behind him.
We really enjoyed a week-long celebration together and with friends. Josh's mom has a tradition of decorating the junior high room and his office with balloons and pictures, etc. And she also gets cupcakes and donuts for the jr highers the week of his birthday. They all really love that! This year we even had some frosting fights break out!

The day before his birthday, we went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with two couples we are close with. Josh even got to have some snow flakes fall on his actual birthday!

The day of his birthday, I made us homemade pizza. We also invited friends, jr highers and high schoolers to go to a showing of Alice in Wonderland with us, the day of his birthday and about 20 showed up for that. It was loads of fun.

A few days later, Josh and I got to enjoy a spontaneous date night out. Josh took us to a place we had never been before called "Council Crest" which overlooks the city. We walked around and took some pictures while we were there. We ended that night with a drive around some very expensive homes by OHSU (that I'm assuming are owned by wealthy doctors!) and a dinner at Red Robin (Josh got his free birthday burger from R.R. and we had a coupon for my meal so we only spent about $6...what a steal!).

I sure do love my husband and am so thankful to celebrate another year of his life! He gives of himself so much and has impacted so many lives. I'm honored to call him mine for life.
