Applesauce, A Fall Skirt and Going Potty on the Big Girl Chair

The Shelton's gave us a HUGE tub of organic apples from their trees. They were so incredibly sweet. I couldn't wait to make a big batch of applesauce with them! Addy has been eating through most of the pear sauce I made a few months ago and froze. So, I was so very thankful for the blessing of the apples to restock our freezer with applesauce. I didn't add any sugar, sugar some cinnamon, freshly ground nutmeg, ginger and cloves. It was comfort in a bowl! And I had lots of jars for the freezer! Thanks Shelton's!

In other news, we have been trying to get Adelynne accustomed to going potty on her big her chair. She's 15 months old and I know it sounds a bit ridiculous to try but that's all we've decided to do. And, she's surprised us with how well she's done! She loves to read her "Elmer the Patchwork Elephant" book while she's on the throne and her potty treat is a few mini M&M's. I don't think it's quite phased her when she's gone; she's been too into her book! But we do lots of celebrating and affirmation when it's happened! So far she's gone pee pee four times and poop once! The poop happened while on the potty chair and then we took a bath. And of course in the bath she decided she wasn't quite done with going poop, but it's all good! I'm still so proud of my little girl!

And lastly for this post, I'd like to share some pictures of Addy in an adorable Fall skirt my Kindred Spirit, Stephanie made for her! It's corduroy and so adorable on her!
